THE ARMY OF THE KINGDOM OF SWEDEN 1802-1814 was originally published in 1978 and was substantially revised and updated with a wealth of new material when the new e-book edition was released in 2013. In particular a lot of new information was added into the chapters concerning the army and regimental organisation which I feel has added considerably to the usefulness of the volume.  The artwork for the original e-book edition was almost a direct reprint of the 1984 revised edition and was illustrated with mostly black and white line drawings from that edition.  This new 3rd Edition corrects some minor inaccuracies in the text and includes the colour artwork which was not used in earlier versions and adds some 100 new illustrations created for this edition, in particular the chapters on regimental flags have been updated and enlarged with over forty new colour illustrations.

Totally revised edn with new illustrations in colour.  Now 107 pages.

THE ARMY THE DUCHY OF WARSAW 1807-1814 was first published as ‘The Army of Poland 1807-14’ in 1980 and has been out of print since 1984. This e-book edition has been revised and updated with new research which was not available or was incomplete when the book was last revised in 1983. It was always the intention that this book should be a study of the uniforms of the army of the Duchy of Warsaw during the Napoleonic wars and therefore does not include much detail about the Polish regiments and Legions in French service; these units and their uniforms are covered in other volumes in the series.

Totally revised new edition with new illustrations in colour.  Now 130 pages.

In 1806, following decisive victories over the allied armies at Austerlitz and over the Neapolitans at Campo Tenese, Napoleon installed his brother, Joseph as King of Naples. When Joseph was sent off to Spain two years later, he was replaced by Napoleon's sister Caroline and his brother-in-law Marshal Joachim Murat, as King of the Two Sicilies. Particularly under the flamboyant rule of Murat the Neopolitan army was colourful in it's dress if rather less so in it's martial reputation.

Last published in 1978 this study of the uniforms of The Army of the Kingdom of Naples 1806-1814 has been completely revised and updated.   Many of the original illustrations have been enhanced or replaced and there are now colour illustrations by both contemporary and new artists.  Now 185 pages

In 1806, on signing the Treaty of the Confederation of the Rhine, sixteen German states joined in a confederation with Napoleon as its "protector". The Confederation was above all a military alliance: the members had to maintain substantial armies for mutual defense and supply France with large numbers of military personnel. In return for their cooperation some state rulers were given higher statuses: Cleve-Berg, one of the founder members of the confederation was made into a Grand Duchy.

The Army of the Grand Duchy of Berg was previously looked at an earlier book published in the 1970s  which has been out of print since 1984.  This new e-book volume has been completely revised and updated and is illustrated with all new line drawings and colour illustrations, from contemporary and modern sources.

In return for their cooperation some state rulers were given higher statuses: The Electorate of Baden, one of the founder members of the confederation was made into a Grand Duchy and despite the states close links with Prussia and Russia remained one of Napoleon's staunchest allies from 1806 to 1813.

The Austro-Hungarian Army 1792-1814

The Austro-Hungarian Army was engaged continually against the armies of the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Empire from 1792 until after the Battle of Waterloo and Bonaparte’s final defeat and exile in 1815.  For twenty years the Austrian army shouldered the greater part of the war on land against France being actively at war for some 108 months more than twice the war commitment against France of either Prussia or Russia.

The first edition of this small work was originally published in 1977 which was a compilation of a number of earlier booklets and privately commissioned research papers first published in the late 1960s and early 1970s.  The 2nd Edition published in 1980 expanded the scope to encompass the Revolutionary Wars and the 3rd edition of 1984 corrected many of the earlier errors and omissions and was the only book in the original series to have a coloured facings chart, and included several of the Ottenfeld pencil drawings, but only saw one very brief print run at the end of that year.  The Army of the Austro-Hungarian Army 1798-1814 was always the most popular title of the series, the 1980 edition was reprinted over 40 times.
